This Privacy Policy describes how LearnSys Chinese Writing Starter ("the app"), provided under the LearnSys brand by iGears Technology Limited, handles information on Android. In short: no login, no student names and no school accounts; writing history is encrypted on the device; images never leave the phone; and the text you submit is processed only to generate writing guidance.
No account — an anonymous identity
The app creates a random device identifier and does not ask for a student name, school account, email address or phone number. The identifier is exchanged for short-lived access tokens, which are encrypted with a hardware-backed Android Keystore key before being stored. It is not an advertising or hardware ID and does not identify the student by itself.
What stays on your device
Photos and text recognition
Camera and gallery text recognition runs entirely on the device. The image itself stays in the app's cache and is never uploaded; only the recognised text — after you have reviewed it in the confirmation dialog — can be sent as part of your request.
What is sent to the LearnSys service
Purchases
The optional PRO plan and point packs are sold through Google Play, which shows all prices and handles payment. Purchase records are kept on the device to restore points and membership; your payment details never reach us.
No ads, no analytics
The app contains no advertising and no third-party analytics, crash-reporting or tracking SDKs. Its only Android permissions are internet access and Google Play billing.
Children
The app is designed for Primary 1–6 students. It collects no student names or school accounts, shows no advertising, and its AI is instructed never to request, repeat or retain personal details. Purchases should always be made with a parent or guardian.
Retention and deletion
Writing history stays encrypted on the device until you delete it from within the app. To ask about deletion of server-side records linked to your anonymous identifier, contact us at the address below.
