These Terms of Use govern your use of the LearnSys Chinese Writing Starter Android app, provided under the LearnSys brand by iGears Technology Limited ("we", "us"). By installing or using the app you agree to these terms. The app is intended for primary-school students; it should be used with the knowledge and consent of a parent or guardian.
The service
The app provides guided support for planning, reviewing and improving Chinese writing. It deliberately does not produce submit-ready essays. It is a learning aid, not an official HKEAA or DSE product, and does not replace teachers, textbooks or formal assessment.
Guest access
The app works without an account, using an anonymous identity tied to your device. Writing history is stored, encrypted, only on that device: if you uninstall the app or lose the device, we cannot recover it. Purchases can be restored through Google Play.
Acceptable use
AI-generated content
AI output may contain errors; verify it with your textbook or teacher. Responses can be flagged from within the app as incorrect, unsafe or privacy-sensitive, and the LearnSys team reviews reports under its safety and quality process.
Purchases, points and the PRO plan
AI requests consume points. Point packs are consumable one-time purchases, and the optional PRO plan is a monthly subscription that grants a points allowance. Payment is charged to your Google Play account; the PRO plan renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and can be cancelled any time in your Google Play subscription settings. Google Play shows the final price, and refunds follow Google Play policy.
Intellectual property
The app and its content are owned by iGears Technology Limited or its licensors. Writing you submit remains yours; you grant us the licence needed to process it in order to provide the service. Guidance produced by the app is for your personal learning use.
Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The app is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties and are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for reliance on AI-generated output. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
Changes and termination
We may update these terms; the date above shows the current version, and continued use after a change constitutes acceptance. We may suspend access for misuse of the service.
