This Privacy Policy describes how LearnSys English Writing Coach ("the app"), provided under the LearnSys brand by iGears Technology Limited, handles information. It applies to the Android app and the LearnSys service it connects to.
No account — an anonymous guest identity
The app does not ask for a name, school account, email address or phone number, and there is nothing to register. It generates a random per-installation identifier, which is exchanged for short-lived access tokens and stored encrypted on the device. It is not an advertising or hardware identifier and does not identify a student on its own.
Reinstalling the app creates a new identity. Anything tied to the old one, including purchases, must be restored through Google Play.
What stays on your device
Drafts, outlines, snapshots, version history and progress records are stored locally on the device by default. Deleted drafts go to a trash area recoverable for 30 days before they are removed.
Photo import uses on-device OCR. The photograph itself is not uploaded — only the text you choose to keep, and only when you then request feedback on it.
You can export your drafts as a JSON backup, and import that file on another device.
What is sent when you request feedback
Text is sent to the LearnSys service only when you explicitly ask for an outline, a sentence improvement or draft feedback. It is processed to produce that response and is not used to train models.
AI generation is performed by a third-party model provider acting as our subprocessor. Only the text needed for the request is passed on.
Please do not put personal information — names, school details, contact details, identity numbers — into a draft you send for feedback.
Purchases
Subscriptions and credit packs are sold through Google Play. We never see your card details. Google returns a purchase token, which we store only as a SHA-256 hash bound to a single guest identity, alongside your entitlement state, credit balance and daily usage counters.
If a purchase is cancelled or refunded, Google notifies us and the entitlement is withdrawn within 24 hours.
Reporting AI output
If you report an AI response as harmful or wrong, the reported text and the surrounding request are stored so a reviewer can look at it. Reports are kept for 90 days and then purged, and are readable only by staff handling the review.
No ads, no analytics
The app carries no advertising, no advertising identifiers and no third-party analytics or tracking SDKs. Nothing about your writing is sold or shared for marketing.
Children
The app is intended for secondary students preparing for public examinations. It collects no account details and asks for no personal information. A parent or guardian who wants a child's locally stored work removed can clear it from within the app, or uninstall it.
Retention and deletion
Local drafts remain until you delete them or uninstall the app; uninstalling removes them along with the guest identity. Entitlement and usage records tied to a guest identity are kept while the entitlement is live and for a short period afterwards for billing dispute handling. Content reports are kept for 90 days.
To request deletion of anything held on the LearnSys service, email [email protected] from the device you use, and we will tell you what we can identify from a guest identity alone.
