This policy covers LearnSys LearningMate, provided by iGears Technology Limited under the LearnSys brand. The first section describes the iPhone and iPad (iOS) version with the Delete online data control, including how earlier iOS versions differ. All subsequent sections describe the Android app; their Google Play purchases, Android Keystore and 30-day pending-note rules do not apply to the iOS release.
iPhone and iPad (iOS) — free first release
The iOS release is free, with no subscriptions, credit sales or in-app purchases. Its 18 original offline exercises, answer choices, explanations, written applications, practice portfolio and review plan work without signing in. Offline practice progress and written applications are not automatically uploaded to a server.
On-device storage: AI learning records, their selected images and conversations are stored in an encrypted app file. Practice attempts, written applications and the review plan are stored in a separate encrypted app file. Both use CryptoKit AES-GCM encryption with an app storage key held in the iOS Keychain and restricted to that device. Language, appearance, onboarding and AI-consent preferences are stored locally.
Guest access: the app does not require your name, email address or password. To connect, it sends a randomly generated registration reference and guest credential to the LearnSys service, which assigns a guest identifier. The reference, credential, identifier and any deletion-status receipt are stored in the device-restricted iOS Keychain. The service stores the guest identifier, registration reference and a hash of the credential; it issues a short-lived access token held in memory for a request.
Optional AI processing: only after you agree to the in-app content-processing notice, study requests send the text you submit, imported passages and selected images over HTTPS to the LearnSys / iGears Technology Limited Qwen-based learning service. For answer feedback and follow-up questions, the relevant passage, images, answers and earlier conversation are also sent. AI results may repeat or quote your input and may be incorrect. Remove names, schools, contact details and other personal information before submitting. You can withdraw consent in Settings; this prevents further AI requests until you agree again.
Online AI provides up to five free requests per daily service quota, shared across the tools. Offline practice remains available when that quota is used up. The service stores the guest identifier and daily request count to manage access and the free allowance. AI requests include the selected language.
User-initiated reports: if you choose to report AI content, the app sends the tool identifier, report reason, record ID, a preview of up to 500 characters of output, report and time identifiers, language and app identifier to the LearnSys service using the guest session. The service stores the report with that guest identifier for review.
Server retention: guest, usage and submitted-report records remain on the service after an individual request completes; a fixed automatic expiry has not been established. Gateway and web-server logs may contain technical data, including network addresses, and may be retained for service operation and security. Removing a local record or uninstalling the app does not itself remove records already sent to the service.
Delete online data: in Settings, choose Delete online data to request deletion of the current version's guest account, daily usage counts and submitted reports without sending an email. We will process the request within 30 days. The app shows its status and confirms when these records have been removed from the live service; AI is unavailable for that guest while the request is unresolved, and a new guest can be used after removal. Your on-device learning notes and practice data remain unless you delete them separately.
Backups and limited records: daily gateway virtual-machine backups are retained for 30 days and older backups may still contain data until they expire. Service logs may also be retained. The service retains limited keyed deletion markers and a deletion-status receipt, including request status and processing timestamps, to prevent a removed guest identity from returning and to let the app check its request. Live-record removal is not a statement that all backup copies or logs have already been erased.
Deletion and retention on your device: AI learning records, including pending records and their images, remain until you delete or discard them in the app. The iOS release does not automatically expire pending records after 30 days. Delete AI records from the learning library or discard them from a result. Settings can separately clear the practice portfolio and review plan. Removing local records does not by itself delete any data already sent to the service.
Sharing: if you use the iOS share sheet, the result or portfolio content you choose to share is sent to the app or service you select, under that recipient’s own policies. This iOS release includes no advertising or third-party tracking or analytics SDK.
Earlier iOS versions used a different guest identity and shared server records. The new Delete online data control does not remove those earlier-version records. The app does not display the earlier guest identifier, so support may need more information and may be unable to locate those records. For privacy questions, contact iGears Technology Limited at [email protected]. The remaining sections below concern Android only.
No account — an anonymous identity
The app never asks for your name, email address, phone number or a password. It generates a random device identifier, encrypts it with a hardware-backed Android Keystore key, and exchanges it for a short-lived access token that is held in memory only and never written to disk. No advertising ID, hardware identifier or account credential is collected. For purchase verification, only a one-way hash of the identifier is shared with Google Play billing.
What stays on your device
What is sent to the LearnSys service
Purchases
The optional LearnSys Plus subscription and credit packs are sold through Google Play, which shows all prices and handles payment. We receive a purchase token, verified server-side before an entitlement is granted; purchases can be restored after reinstalling.
No ads, no analytics
The app contains no advertising and no third-party analytics, crash-reporting or tracking SDKs. Its Android permissions are internet access and optional camera use.
Children
The app is designed for secondary-school students. It requires no personal information to use and shows no advertising. Younger learners should use it with a parent or guardian, and no one should submit names, school details, student numbers or contact information.
Retention and deletion
Study records stay on your device until you delete them; pending notes expire after 30 days. To request deletion of server-side data linked to your anonymous identifier, contact us at the address below.
