These terms govern your use of LearnSys DSE Study Captain, provided under the LearnSys brand by iGears Technology Limited. By installing or using the app you accept them.
The service
The app is a personal study planner. It generates revision schedules from dates and availability you provide. It is not a tutoring service and it does not mark your work.
Examination dates
The app is not affiliated with the Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority. Its bundled timetable is a convenience, dates shown as tentative are tentative, and a published timetable can change after a release ships.
Always confirm examination dates against the latest official HKEAA timetable. Do not rely on this app as your only source for when a paper is sat.
Your data is your responsibility
Because everything is stored on your device and nothing is sent to us, we hold no backup of your plans or logs. Clearing app storage, uninstalling, losing the device or a factory reset will lose them permanently, and we cannot recover them.
Captain Pro and purchases
Captain Pro is a one-time unlock that extends plan length and the number of saved plans. It is sold and processed by Google Play under Google's terms, and refunds follow Google Play policy. Prices are shown in your local currency by Google.
What each tier includes may change as the app develops. A refunded purchase withdraws the unlock.
Acceptable use
Use the app for your own revision. Do not attempt to bypass the purchase mechanism or to redistribute the app or its bundled data.
Intellectual property
Your plans and logs are yours. The app, its interface, its planning logic and the LearnSys brand remain the property of iGears Technology Limited.
Availability and changes
Features may be added, changed or withdrawn between versions. We may need to update the bundled examination timetable when the HKEAA publishes a revision.
Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The app is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law we exclude implied warranties, and we are not liable for examination results, missed papers, academic outcomes, lost local data, or indirect or consequential loss. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
