Parent communication

Family features are off by default. Children do not need login accounts. Parents see only currently linked children and content explicitly published by the school.

Before a manager enables access

1. Confirm purposes, privacy notice, retention period and responsible staff. Verify current guardian–child links.
2. Acknowledge privacy arrangements, enable both parent communication and parent hub, and turn off staff-only mode.
3. In-platform family messaging is separately enabled; email, SMS and push are not activated automatically.

Staff publication and family use

• Teachers save notice drafts and publish explicitly. Only the designated guardian can reply; other currently linked guardians can read.
• Publish completed individual PDFs separately. Class ZIPs and sensitive support notes are not offered to parents.
• Portfolio sharing needs current guardian consent for the child and item-by-item teacher publication.
• Parents view attendance and request leave. Optional in-platform messages support short questions; use the school's chosen channel for emergencies.

Withdrawal and devices

Withdrawing consent, publication or a child link stops later access. Downloaded copies cannot be recalled. Following a class transfer, the new class must review old published files again. A mobile browser can add the portal to the home screen; private content requires a connection and login. App-store availability is confirmed separately.

The public demo offers fictional parent previews only, resets to staff-only mode and blocks uploads and external messages.

Use fictional information in the public demo. Uploads, external AI and outbound messages are disabled. School use requires agreed privacy, access and retention arrangements.
